  1. That's a cool list.
But how many do you think you've actually read?
For me it's only about 3...

  2. This is really cool, thank you. I've been wanting to expand my science fiction reading a bit ... I've got fantasy and S&S pretty well sorted, but have a shamefully sparse SF background.

  3. @paulXray-3? 3 you say?!? Bah! I've read more than half the list and numerous books by the same authors that aren't listed.

    Jus'teasin' man.

I do loves me some Science-Fiction though and these are classics.

  4. Putting this up was a little present for Paladin in Citadel. He was wondering if there was a Traveller Appendix N. This is the closest thing I've got.

Actually, I haven't read that many either. 5 only, although some authors I've read stuff that's not on the list (like Heinlein and Dick).

I'm eventually going to get more of these read, but I'm still working through a lot of classic Pulp Fantasy (AD&D Appendix N stuff).

BTW Paul, Gonzaburo stuff coming soon.

  5. How the hell did Piper not end up on that list?!? SF is pretty much the H. Beam Piper RPG. O.o

  6. Of the ones that I have read that are listed, except the ringworld sequels (those are pretty bad), all are solid, solid books. The Gods Themselves by Asimov, Starship Troopers by Heinlein and Do Androids Dream of Electronic Sheep by Dick being amongst the best.

  7. Thanks! I'm going to put a link in my original post, so people can link right over to this list.
